Dr. Miguel Yermo García

Development and data science

Miguel holds a degree in Physics, a Master’s in Applied Mathematics, and a Ph.D. in LiDAR point cloud processing using high-performance computing techniques from the University of Santiago de Compostela. He worked on the development and maintenance of HELIOS++ with the 3DGeo Group at Heidelberg University, deploying the software in Docker containers and conducting performance analysis.

His research career focuses on the design, implementation, and optimization of algorithms and data structures for processing large irregular datasets in shared and distributed memory, as well as on the development and application of artificial intelligence and machine learning models.
